What it does for your water
The Watts RV PRO-1000 OR M7002 10,000-Grain Portable Water Softener is a portable / RV softener rated at 10,000 grains. Its listing gives a service flow of 4 GPM.
A portable softener is sized by gallons between regenerations: at 10 grains per gallon, 10,000 grains softens about 1,000 gallons; at 20 grains per gallon, about 500. It regenerates with table salt poured into the tank and a fresh-water flush, so harder water means more frequent regenerations.
From the listing: features listed Portable; mounting Freestanding; capacity stated as 4 gallons; model RV PRO-1000 OR M7002; material plastic or steel or other; flow 4 GPM.
The listing gives a shipping weight of 9 lb and hardness strips in the box.
