What it does for your water
The DuraWater Fleck 5600 48k 48,000-Grain Water Softener is a whole-house softener rated at 48,000 grains on a Fleck 5600 control valve.
Grain ratings are full-salt figures. At an efficient salt setting its rating delivers about 36,000 grains between regenerations, enough for up to 4 people on 15 grains-per-gallon water regenerating weekly, or 2 on 25 grains per gallon. Run your household's numbers.
The Fleck 5600 head is one of the most widely serviced valves; seal kits, pistons, boards and meters that name it are in the valve parts lookup.
From the listing: model 48k.
The listing gives dimensions of 54 x 10 x 10 inches, a shipping weight of 99 lb and water softener in the box.
