What it does for your water
The H&G lifestyles IWF003 Iron Filter is a media iron filter. Its listing gives a flow of 9 GPM.
Media filters oxidize and trap iron on the media bed. Most media have pH and dissolved-oxygen limits; check them against your water test.
Test iron, manganese, pH and hydrogen sulfide before choosing. Red water or a rotten-egg smell means the iron needs treating before any softener.
